Active Fun Playground at 9th Street BGC

Weekend means Playtime! So this time, we headed to Active Fun Playground at 9th Street Bonifacio Global City and let little Sophie unleash her kakulitan with other kids.

Active Fun, aside from a play place, is also a children party venue. They have a separate rooms for events center and another area for their gigantic playground. Upon entrance to the building, little Sophie became ecstatic and immediately run through the flat platform towards 3rd floor where the play area is located. She can already sense that a fun time is just inches away!

Upon reaching 3rd floor, you will be greeted with the view of kids enjoying their time at the place and the vibe of carnival themed snack area.

The play area has a related concept with Cosmic Kids Playground because of it’s big maze / obstacle like area. Expect a lot of running, climbing and obstacle foams around the area. It is literally a 5-layered foam flooring setup and personally this is suitable for bigger kids instead. And did I mention, that they have the longest slide that we have tried so far? But before you can reach the entrance of the slide, you need to climb and curl yourself to the top!

What are the age limit for Active Fun?

Based on their waiver form, kids should be atleast 12 years old and under; and should be below 4 feet and 9 inches tall.

A dedicated section for kids 5 years old and below is available. It contains a baby section with infant-friendly toys like piano and such.

How much is the entrance fee?

Before heading to the cashier, make sure to fill up the admission slip first then pay the corresponding fee to the cashier area.

We choose the 1 hour play and 2 adult pass. Note that there is no free adult pass included on the kids payment and this should be paid individually.

  • 30 minutes – PHP 200.00
  • 1 hour – PHP 280.00
  • Unlimited Play – PHP 480.00
  • Adult Pass – PHP 150.00

What are the activities that we can expect there?

Upon entrance, you will be requested to remove your shoes and requires you to wear socks inside the premise. They will put a tag on each individual (color-coded based on the chosen play time duration).
An open locker for your shoes and bags are available in the area. As usual rule, the establishment is not liable for any loss of your personal belongings.

Active Fun has the place for toddlers and kids. They have a mini trampoline, hanging bridge, the longest slides that we have tried, a slide and ball pit for kids 5 years old and below and the 5 layered floor obstacle courses.

Mini infant area

This area is suitable for infants – a space where they can crawl and play musical instruments with their parents.

Ball Pit area

The ball pit area is exclusive for kids below 5 years old since they only limit it to smaller kids.

Obstacle play area

This is the tallest obstacle playground that we have visited. This is somehow related to Kidzcity: Play and Party Center in SM Aura BGC and Cosmic Kids Playground at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) in terms of the play area structure. There are a lot of climbing and going inside awkward cramp areas (hahaha don’t know how to explain). But for me, this is really suitable for bigger kids and not toddlers like little Sophie.

She’s having a hard time going up to the entrance, but she’s really a big girl na! She can climb up without much help! (sad)

And the highlight, slide!

As I mentioned, this is the longest slide that we have tried. Little Sophie loves Ball pit and Slides so when we she tried this on first try, she really became pleased. Though, my only concern is the slide is super long that when an accident happened in the middle, it will be hard for an adult to give aid.

Little Sophie decided to stand up while on the middle of the slide and even we are just beside her, we still felt nervous! Who knows what may happen if she jumps towards the end of the slide right?!

Final thoughts

Since little Sophie is happy with her visit here, we still give it a positive note. Though for me, the area is more suitable for older kids since it is more focused on obstacles – good for running and playing with other kids. Good note, is that the play area is child proof friendly with all the foams installed on the corners. Also, staffs are roaming around the area as to help out children’s concern.
