Ice Flower is one of the cafes in Metro that offers Bingsu in their menu. They already have 3 branches and has a variety of Bingsu flavors to choose from. Bingsu is a popular dessert in Korea which is composed of ice shavings and various ingredients such as milk, syrups and fresh fruits. They are like the Halo-halo of the Philippines in a simpler form.
The shop got Injeolmi, Red Bean, Black sesame, Green tea, Cheese, Mango Cheese, Mango, Bluberry Cheese, Bluberry, Mix Berry Yogurt, Chocolate and Choco Brownie Bingsoo.
Aside from bingsu, they also offer toasts, coffee, tea, fresh shakes and smoothies. Bingsu’s price ranged from PHP 210.00 – PHP 380.00 which are good for 1-2 persons and a bigger servings (3-5 persons) with price ranging from PHP 360.00 – PHP 570.00.
The ice used on this dessert is snow-liked and very fine and smooth. We ordered Injeolmi Bingsu for PHP 210.00 (Small size). Compared to other Bingsu shops, this is bit expensive relatively in terms of the ingredients (for Injeolmi – lack of almonds and rice cake). A separate milk will be served together with the Bingsu just in case you still don’t find the ice creamy.
The place in MOA is bigger and the ambiance is relaxing. I like the colorful designed chairs and tables available. There are ample spaces for each table so late night kwentuhan is feasible without disturbing your seatmate’s boundary.
The shop also offers a unique snow fall experience – they’ve got a snow machine that replicates the experience of snow flakes falling from the sky. Imagine winter and snow during the summer season here in the Philippines! Running inside the area and throwing of snow are not allowed to avoid any injuries.
The place is located on the 3rd floor near Cosmic Kids Playground. That section is newly renovated and some area are still under construction (as of this writing) so the area is still not that crowded.
